Last year December, the house behind us was robbed. The house wasn't fenced and it was newly built then.
It was on Christmas day I think, and their generator was on.
Armed robbers came in, collected phones, money and all. When they were going, they switched off the generator and still carried it away.
They had all the confidence and time
While the robbery was on, neighbours called the police a thousand times to come and save them. A million times the police did not answer.
This year. That house behind us has erected a fence as tall as the wall of Jerico. With barb wire and all. His gate, the best of the best.
And they're even telling me that the fence is just about a month old.
Erecting a fence in this economy is not bread and tea.
He provides his potable water, spends the majority of his income on food, generates his electricity (same thing he pays for monthly), yet, he still provides his security. Inside life
So whenever your leaders come down to your side to give lectures on topics you don't even understand, instead of laughing and giggling at them like morons, these are the issues you should be confronting them with. The issues that concern you the most.
Eskis me sir Mr Ijoba, we don't have food, we don't have light, MTN is ripping us off, banks are charging us indiscriminately, we can't buy rice, they have kidnapped our families, we don't have water, we don't live long, we don't have roads, we can't get jobs, we're dying like chickens, we're not even safe. What're you doing about all these??????!!?!
But who dare have the guts to say this?
