HOW TO PREPARE OGBONO SOUP

Ogbono soup is one of the most preferred soups in Nigeria and even Abroad....It can go with a variety of reasons swallow, ranging from tuwo(semo) to pounded yam and others

  1. Ingredients
  2. Ogbono
  3. Stock fish
  4. Dried fish
  5. Meat
  6. Iru/opei/locust beans
  7. Palm oil
  8. Vegetable (ugwu)
  9. Seasoning
  10. Pepper ( preferably Ghana pepper)

Procedure

Wash the stock fish,meat and dried fish in warm water and put together in a pot of water,add seasoning and boil for like 15mins and set aside

In another pot,put Palm oil and Allow it get hot(don't fry), reduce the heat and add grinded ogbono,stir for a minute or two and pour content into the stock that was set aside, increase the heat,allow to boil for like 5mins or more

Finally add already chopped vegetable (ugwu) and allow to steam for a minute

Your ogbono soup is ready,can be eaten with any swallow of your choice
