Hello lpv members ..
Many people has the habit of reading but finding it hard to absorb what they read.
With the constant distractions around you and where you are it can be hard to absorb what you read in a meaningful way. You may struggle with absorbing a text for a class or reading a book for pleasure. To absorb what you read, start by creating a quiet reading environment. Then, make an effort to read the text slowly and carefully.
These are some tips to help absorb what you read;
1) find a quiet or isolated area - this means you have to choose a place that has the least amount of distraction and it’s isolated .. so you’ll be able to be free and be able to concerning what you’re reading. Choose an area that has thick walls and a door or a partition. This will help to cancel noise and other sounds form other outside
2)Tell others to leave you alone - let those around you know that you are trying to focus on the book you are reading.. or you can put a do not disturb sign at your door... you may also instruct others to leave you alone for a set period of time, such as 30 minutes or 1 hour or any amount of time you wish to use.
3) Block out noise and distractions- there may be some noise in the place you’re reading , you can wear noise cancelling headphones or ear plugs . You can also close all doors to keep out noise.
4) Turn off your cellphone - by this way you won’t be able to be distracted from any call or messages or social media text at that moment.
With these tips I can assure you.. of remembering all what you’ve read
