As we celebrate this Easter season, let's reflect on this;
All the misfortune, bondage, troubles, dangers, fears, terror, evil, Pandemic and hardship befalling man in the world today came as a result of the entrance of Sin into the world, because from the beginning it was not so. All that man was and all that he has to enjoy from the beginning was altered when the first man rebelled against God by submitting to the devil and allowing sin into him (Romans 5:12-14). Since the fall, God has been setting up people and systems in other to set man free from Sin and death which was fully achieved by the death and resurrection of Jesus.
In other to fully grasp this freedom and victorious life, we must understand the concept of Sin. A careful study of the book of Romans chapters 5-8 will clearly reveal to us the nature of Sin. Sin as revealed in those chapters is firstly a nature or a principle at work in man and also sin as an act committed by man. The former talks about the nature man sustained after the fall which eventually gives enablement to the latter (the act). (Romans 7:21-25). All these puts man in subjection to the devil and kept man in slavery to him.
God through the sufferings, death and resurrection of Christ made available the absolute remedy to man’s problem, Sin. The nature which give rise and power to the act was crucified on the cross while the act was atoned for by the shedding of blood. (Romans 6:6, Galatians 2:20). Here then is the revelation that pronounced our victory; “if any man is in Christ he is a new creation…” (2 Corinthians 5:17). We are no longer under the power of sin to carry out its evil desires and there are no grounds for molestations from the devil because every hand writing of his accusations has been written off.
Alot of Christians because of ignorance are held bound with the guilt of their past lives, with a lie that nothing good can come to them as a result of the terrible sins they have committed in the past, this is a great hindrance to spiritual progress. We must come to terms with the truth that God has forgiven all our sins, not some but all and He remembers them no more (psalm 103:1-15). We must arm ourselves therefore with this truth so that no sin, sickness (including corona virus), oppression, failure, misfortune or fear can hold us bound, we have been freed.
CHILD OF GOD, YOU HAVE BEEN FREED, WALK THEREIN WITH BOLDNESS & POWER..
