I get up in the morning and I decide to take a walk in the neighborhood.
As I do this, I see people about their everyday routine, which is somewhat like this; Wake up probably with an alarm, say some morning prayers, rush to the bathroom, get dressed and run out of the house to catch an early bus to go to the office that they also will rush out of once it's time to close.
And I wonder, how productive can this cycle be? Is this the life that we all truly desire to live? How can a job that I go to because of the monthly meagre salary give me joy and fulfilment? Which of the people on Forbes list is there because of a salary job?
With all these questions going on in my head and in the heads of other like minded people, I just realize that except I do it as a part-time extra source of income, a salaried job is not for people like me.
This us not to say that there is anything wrong with a job but we should have jobs for the right reasons and be able to connect this job to the bigger picture.
My dreams and goals will all be destroyed if I choose to settle for a job as my only source.
We need to endeavour to learn and acquire the skills that are required for entrepreneurship and lifelong engagement.
Financial freedom is our only hope.
