In the time past, when I hear a lady is beautiful or a man is handsome. I just used to stop and think deeply. What exactly is the yardstick used to measure a person’s beauty?
This started happening because sometimes I find my self being attracted to people who don’t have physical beauty as ladies and I wonder if I’m normal. Other times, I see ladies who date guys whose facial and physical attributes are nothing to write home about.
This irony of life has caused me to realize that there is more to being beautiful and handsome. If Oshiomole was truly ugly for example, I doubt he would have been able to marry such a damsel as a wife.
Therefore, over the years, through personal study, research and findings. I have found out the true meaning of beauty as regards the women and true manliness as regards the men.
A woman can be said to be truly beautiful when she has a good and godly character. If you are physically beautiful on the outside but your inner woman lacks morals and is void of good character. Then believe me, you are ugly.
This is a sad truth but we all need to avoid women who go about decorating their bodies but their characters are nothing to write home about. They are disasters waiting to happen.
I figured that this is why I am able to get attracted to women who might not be 100autiful physically but have outstanding characters.
As for a man, this one just makes me laugh because anytime I correct people on this, they call me a typical igbo man.
A man’s manliness is first and foremost in his pocket. Just like the igbo saying; “Mma nwoke bu ego", meaning, the beauty of a man is his money. If you are all fresh and cute but your pocket lacks prestige, then my brother you’re a learner.
A truly beautiful man is one who can handle responsibilities. One who can stand and face any challenges that comes his way at any given time. After money comes power and then fame before others. But the best currency to measure the beauty of a man is his money.
